Linsky: I'm glad you cut your hair. You made a choice and I'm sure it is still hard but perhaps easier than watching it come out in patches. Lots of women look terrific with a brush cut. Go for the eye liner and blush and some good scarves for colour. I am not speaking from the experience of loosing my own hair but I have been with a couple of very good friends that have gone that route before and it is always a trauma. However, as you say in time it will grow back and usually better than before. Or perhaps it is because we appreciate it more when we have been without our hair for a time. As they say absence makes the heart grow fonder! I am making light of it but it is still hard for you to deal with this loss. Hugs and sunshine karen

Hi Linsky
Good for you for cutting your hair first it really does help for when your hair falls out. I am used to being bald now and I gotta tell you I have never been able to get ready so fast in my life, I always had longer hair before shaving it off before chemo I do not know if I will ever let my hair grow long again, I know it sounds wierd. How are you feeling? I hope you are feeling well, I go for my 3rd chemo on tues if all my blood work comes back ok on Monday and then I only have one more chemo after that then get a 4-6 week break and then start the 6.5 weeks of daily radiation. It feels like I have been living this for so long but really it is only four months and alot has happened in that time I guess it just seems longer.
Take Care

Had a nicethanksgiving, the chemo really knocked me out this time, I made myself stay up until 8 pm and did not get up this am until, 9:30 I never sleep like this, usually 6-7 hours a night and since this has all happened I usually wake up two to three times but not last night, just feel worn out, I now know it will pass it is just a shocker to sleep like this. Hope you all have a great long weekend and enjoy your turkey dinner, take care of yourselfs.
